한줄기 눈물이 18살 이마퀼레의 눈에서 떨어지고 있다. 2008년 2월말 고마 소재 케셰로 병원으로 실려와 응급조치를 받던 이마퀼레는 임신 7개월의 상태에서 제왕절개 수술을 잘 못 받아 생식기에 제3의 주관인 ‘피스툴라’가 생겨 소변이 계속 새어나왔다. 이마퀼레는 2007년 세명의 FDLR (르완다 민주해방군) 무장군인들에 의해 성폭력을 당한 뒤 임신한 상태였으나 사산했다.
